I’d like to make Where To Turn into a regular feature. The title is a little hokey, maybe smacks of pre Dr. Phil psychology, but the truth is that there are some adults like me who suddenly have to come to terms with their ADD– officially diagnosed or not — because they are finding that it’s finally catching up with them in parenthood.
If you are a parent with ADD —
and I don’t mean the parent of a child with ADD/ADHD.
If you are the one who just can’t get it together and you are concerned about how it is affecting your family, there are some great resources out there.
RIght now I am enjoying TotallyADD, which is headed by Rick Green of the RED GREEN show. He goes at ADD with all the force a comedian can hurl at it, and gives ADD a pie in the face– which is actually kind of a treat bc, let’s face it, who doesn’t like pie?
If you sign up, you get the cherry on top– the Friday Funnies. It’s a series of memes with ADD-related jokes. I mean, I know my life closely resembles a sitcom at times. Don’t pretend that yours doesn’t too.
